Choosing a paint color for your built-in is always one of the hardest choices to make! There are so many questions to ask! Do you follow the latest trends? Do you stay classic? Do you pick your favorite color? Do you play it safe or go crazy? What makes this choice SO hard is all the variables you have to take into consideration – your current décor theme, where it’s going to be located in your home, whether or not it’s going to be a focal point, the longevity of the paint color you’re choosing. We totally understand that it can be SO overwhelming! Here are some colors that have been trending in our shop that people have been LOVING, but these are also colors neutral enough to stand the test of time!

Iron Ore: If there was a color of the season, Iron Ore would be it! It’s moody! It’s bold! It’s striking! It’s eye-catching! If you’re looking for a color to WOW, this would be it!

Pure White: Ahhhh, white is ALWAYS a good decision. It’s classic. It goes with EVERYTHING, and honestly, it never goes out of style. We love this shade of white because it’s a true white- no yellowish undertones. Honestly, there are minimal undertones at all!!

Pewter Green: Oooooh, Pewter Green! If you’re looking for a neutral green, this is it! There is no “forest green” undertones, but instead, this is a very mature green that is very classic and pairs well with so many other shades!

Naval: We love Naval because it is a true naval. It doesn’t lean towards periwinkle or have purple-ish undertones, but it’s a true dark blue. If you’re looking for a great navy choice, you’ll love Naval!

Functional Gray: If Iron Ore scares you but you want a pop of gray, Functional Gray is a great option! It’s several shades lighter, more neutral, and very classic! It’s a choice if you’re looking for a more traditional choice outside of white.

So many great colors to keep your built-ins classic but also very in trend! Happy painting, friends!

Sincerely,
Tim & Heather
